Allgäu
The region Allgäu belongs to one of the most beautiful landscapes in Germany with breathtaking nature, gorgeous hiking, skiing and varied sights. If you want to be active you can go hiking, nordic walking, mountainbiking or you can just relax at one of the lakes. Holidays at Allgäu are always a great adventure.
Allgäu Airport Memmingen
You can reach the highest situated commercial airport of Germany in only 5 minutes by car. Get impressed by the gateway to the great wide world or have a look behind the scences during a guided tour.
Basilica Ottenbeuren
The 1737 till 1766 constructed basilica Ottobeuren is today one of the most beautiful german baroque styled churches. The glorious 1957 Marienorgan is worth seeing as well. There are guided tours every Saturday at 02:00 pm from february till november.
Lake Forgensee
Forgensee is considered as one of the most beautiful areas for watersports and leisure time activities in the bavarian alpine foothills. Enjoy the panorama view during a canoe-sunset trip or a hiking / cycling route arround the lake.
Legoland
Legoland Deutschland was opened 2002 and is one of the most popular family theme parks in Germany. Legoland Günzburg contains many world records and is home to the world largest Lego buildings such as Munich’s Allianz Arena, the highest Lego tower or the largest Lego flower bed.
Lindau / Lake Constance
Lake Constance is 540 square kilometres and the biggest lake in Germany. The lake is situated at the nothern foot of the alps in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. There are a lot of beautiful cities at the shore of the lake. One of the most famous sights is the port entrance with lighthouse and lion statue in Lindau
Mainau/ Lake Constance
Mainau Island- also known as flower Island- is an island in lake constance. There are many seasonal flower highlights and excellent nature experiences to discover. The island has belonged to the Lennart-Bernadotte-Foundation since 1947.
Munich
Munich is the capital and largest city of the state of Bavaria. With a population of 1.5 million it is the third- most populous city in Germany. The city is famous for its beautiful architecture, the traditional culture and the annual Oktoberfest. Stroll through the Maximilianstreet or visit one of the numerous famous beer gardens.
Ravensburger Spieland
Open since 1998, Ravensburger Spieleland is home to the biggest playroom in the world and is absolutely ideal for families with kids. The children can whizz along the Fix and Foxy toboggang run, discover Captain Bluebair’s wonderland or join the wildwater alpine rafting ride in the world of Discovery.
Linderhof Palace
Impressive and like a fairytale – that’s how the „ Royal Villa“ of Ludwig II looks like. The Palace and its surrounding parks is one of the most stylistically and artistic complex ensembles of the 19th century. The castle is enormous and the gardens are magnificent with beautiful fountains and garden shapes.
Museum Steiff
The museum is next to the company Steiff and the birthplace of the Teddy bear with the „button in the ear“. The museum covering 2400 square metres and is home to more than 2000 cuddly Steiff toys. You shouldn’t miss the history of Magarethe Steiff, it is a unique experience for the whole family.
Viehscheid
The summer spent by the cattle in the alpine mountains tradtionally close with the annual bavarian event „Viehscheid“ or „Almabtrieb“. After around 100 days in the alpines meadows the cows are brought back down into the valleys in september. The cattle are eloborately decorated.
